Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a dire warning to Iran, claiming that if the country fails to immediately agree to a deal, the so-called “Iranian Empire” will be wiped off the map.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said:
“I gave Iran one chance after another to make a deal. I warned them in the harshest terms, but despite how hard they pushed, they couldn’t get it done.”
Trump asserted that what is about to happen would be far more devastating than anything Iran anticipated, saying:
“The United States produces the most advanced and lethal military equipment in the world — and Israel already has it. More is on the way, and they know how to use it.”
Trump went further, claiming that:
“Some of Iran’s hardliners tried to act brave, but they had no idea what was coming. They are now dead — and things are going to get worse.”
He stressed that although heavy casualties have already occurred, there is still time to prevent further bloodshed:
“The upcoming strikes will be even more serious than before. Iran must act immediately, or nothing will be left of what was once called the Iranian Empire.”
Background:
On Friday, Israel launched a massive aerial assault on Iran, targeting more than 100 sites, including nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories, and key military commanders.
According to Iranian media, the attack killed:
- Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri
- IRGC Commander Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami
- Nuclear scientists Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi and Fereydoon Abbasi
Additionally, at least five civilians, including women and children, were killed and 20 others injured, according to Iranian sources.
Loud explosions were reported across multiple Iranian cities, especially near the Natanz uranium enrichment site, which was also confirmed to be targeted.
In response to fears of a retaliatory Iranian missile or drone attack, Israel has declared a state of emergency.
