Flood threats in Sindh, residents of 13 union councils in Larkana’s riverine areas have been relocated. Thirteen emergency medical camps set up along the Indus River are treating thousands daily.
LARKANA: Amid fears of severe flooding in Sindh, authorities have started relocating residents from vulnerable areas to safer locations, the Sindh Information Department confirmed.
13 emergency medical camps have been established along the embankments of the Indus River, including 3 mobile units and 10 permanent camps, According to the Information Department.

In Larkana’s riverine (katcha) areas, residents of 13 union councils have been shifted, while flood relief camps have been set up to accommodate displaced families.
Details of the camps include:
- 2 camps at Aqil Agani embankment
- 5 camps in Bakrani tehsil
- 4 camps at Dokri embankment
- 2 camps at Ratodero embankment
The department further stated that in the first three days of operations, an average of 4,000 patients were treated daily at these medical facilities.

Relief and rescue operations are continuing in full swing to ensure maximum support for the affected population.
