During the Hajj sermon, Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid, made a special prayer for the oppressed Muslims of Palestine, saying:
“O Allah! Help our brothers in Palestine. Destroy those who kill women and children. Uproot their steps.”
Delivering the Hajj sermon at Masjid Namirah, located in the plain of Arafat during the most significant rite of Hajj (Wuquf at Arafat) Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid advised the Muslim Ummah:
“Do not consider even the smallest good deed insignificant. Allah does not like pride or arrogance. Follow the commands of the Messenger of Allah. Refrain from what has been forbidden.”
The Imam said:
“Allah has promised Paradise in the Hereafter for those who do good. Even in this world, those who do righteous deeds will be granted blessings. Taqwa (piety) is the hallmark of true believers. Taqwa leads to goodness in both this world and the Hereafter.”
He continued:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘O believers! Worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot, then know that He sees you.’ Compete with each other in doing good. Fear Allah. Adopt Taqwa. Allah’s punishment is severe.”
The Imam further emphasized:
“The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Worship Allah and do not associate any partners with Him.’ The righteous and pious will have a good end in the Hereafter. Never look down upon even the smallest act of kindness. Allah does not like those who are arrogant and boastful.”
He added:
“Satan is the enemy of mankind, so beware of him. Allah tests His servants. Everything has been given its appointed time. The righteous will enter Paradise and dwell there forever. Allah created the heavens and the earth in six days.”
