Karachi: At least 3 people lost their lives and 9 others were injured after residential building collapsed in Lyari, Karachi. Rescue operations are underway.
Tragic building collapse rocked the Baghdadi neighborhood of Lyari in Karachi on Friday, 3 people died and 9 others injured, including women and childrens as per report.
Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed Says, 2 bodies of men were brought to Civil Hospital Karachi.
Head of CHK’s Trauma Institute Dr Muhammad Sabir Memon Added: 5 Injured have minor wounds while on is in critical condition.
Injured were identified as: Rashid Aziz (25), Santia Chaitan (30), Chanda Jumma Yousaf Subhan (50), Fatima Babo (55).
Relief operations are ongoing, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab’s confirmed.
CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah called The incident “unfortunate” and demanded a detailed report. Urgent rescue and medical aid for the victims and directed the Sindh Building Control Authority to identify and address dangerous buildings across Karachi, He ordered
CM Sindh emphasized: ‘Protection of human lives is the top priority. Negligence will not be tolerated’.
Minister Saeed Ghani’s ordered to SBCA officials to visit the incident site and submit a full inquiry report.
