In Boao, Hainan, the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 got underway today. Vivo demonstrated its state-of-the-art innovations, such as the Blue Technology Matrix (BlueImage, BlueLM, BlueOS, BlueChip, BlueVolt), vivo Vision (vivo MR headset), 6G advancements, and more, as a new member of the Boao Forum for Asia Board of Directors and a fourth year in a row as a strategic partner of the event. The vivo X200 Ultra, the company’s next flagship imaging smartphone, was recognized as the “Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia.”
The keynote address, “Humanity in the Future of Technology by vivo,” was given by Hu Baishan, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and President of the vivo Central Research Institute, during the “vivo Release Moment” session that took place at the Boao Forum on the afternoon of March 25th.

Hu claimed in his address that the development of vivo is a reflection of the advancement of the mobile phone industry, which is a microcosm of China’s technological innovation. Hu went into detail about the company’s fundamental business principles that have been used over the previous thirty years, emphasizing three distinct aspects: humanistic thinking, long-termism, and an emphasis on cooperation and shared success. Vivo, which serves more than 500 million customers in more than 60 countries and regions globally, has held the top spot in the Chinese domestic mobile phone market in terms of market share for four years running.
According to Hu Baishan, the mobile phone business has changed the way people live and work over the last two decades by acting as a “incubator” for new enterprises. These days, the highest technological achievements in the digital and physical realms are represented by developments in artificial intelligence and robots, respectively. However, these two universes have not yet fully merged and are still largely separate.
With its enormous customer base, cutting-edge technology ecosystem, and wide range of application scenarios, the mobile phone sector may be able to assist in bridging these two worlds. The future of the mobile phone industry may lie in robotics, which combines physical skills with digital communication. Crucially, in order to build the best possible experiences, this future will continue to prioritize user scenarios and values that are focused on people.
Hu disclosed in his address that the vivo Robotics Lab has been formally created by vivo. Vivo will concentrate on creating the “brain” and “eyes” of robots by utilizing its ten years of “BlueTech” knowledge in areas such as AI massive learning models and imaging, as well as the real-time spatial computing capabilities amassed through vivo Vision. Vivo will simultaneously concentrate on the consumer sector, creating robotic devices for domestic and personal usage. Vivo seeks to integrate technology into people’s daily life and remove it from the lab. In this manner, it will prioritize incremental innovations and ongoing breakthroughs to tackle practical situations and alleviate consumer annoyances, iterating product development as it goes.
A major turning point in vivo’s investigation of mixed reality technology was reached with the first-ever unveiling of vivo Vision at the Boao Forum. Building on this momentum, vivo’s most recent imaging innovations will be incorporated into the forthcoming X200 Ultra, which is scheduled for sale next month. Vivo is dedicated to working with industry partners to introduce robots into homes worldwide and sees a future in which robotics improves daily living.
