AFP, Liverpool Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, thinks the club who wins Tuesday’s matchup with Liverpool in the round of 16 will go to the championship game.
PSG has the difficult task of needing to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first meeting in Paris when they play the Premier League leaders in the second leg at Anfield.
Despite putting up a strong show at the Parc des Princes, Luis Enrique’s team was unable to overcome Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker

Despite the Reds’ stuttering performance, the former Barcelona manager believes Liverpool’s brilliance is still evident and that the winner of this week’s match will undoubtedly play in the May 31 final in Munich.
“We will be playing our own game from the start, even though we are behind after the first leg. We wouldn’t change a thing, regardless of the outcome in Paris,” he told reporters on Monday.
“Going out and winning is our only choice, and that is what motivates us. I have my own views regarding Arne Slot’s starting lineup, and I don’t think he has many reservations about ours.
“I’m not going to give away who we are going to play or how we are going to play, but we will see two of the best teams in Europe, two contenders for the final and whoever goes through will go through to the final.”
Enrique is certain that the Ligue 1 leaders can handle the demanding atmosphere at Anfield, a venue that is well-known for its hostile atmosphere created by Liverpool fans on important European nights.
“I am pretty convinced that absolutely every single one of my players will want to play,” he stated.
“With a magnificent history and a historic stadium, we understand what Liverpool means. The athletes find it incredibly motivating, and we want to demonstrate that we can perform.
“Controlling one’s emotions and feelings is challenging; these games are hard to prepare for, and being at 100% is not easy.”
“But you don’t want to be at 105 or 110 per cent because you could get carried away so you have to manage your emotions in the best possible way.”
The only two times PSG has visited Anfield, in 1997 and 2018, they have lost, but winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia seems unfazed by the idea of playing in such a daunting stadium.
“When you play at Anfield against Liverpool you don’t need to motivate yourself that much, you already have it inside you,” the attacker from Georgia stated.
“It will be the most important game in our season because our goal is to play in the Champions League many times and play in the final.”
