President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pledged to create a Pakistan that embodies Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s goal of inclusivity and rights for religious minorities as the nation commemorates his 148th birthday today, according to Radio Pakistan.
A contingent of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul took up guard duties at Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi after the day began with gun salutes throughout the federal and provincial capitals, according to Radio Pakistan.

To honor the Father of the Nation, special events have been planned for the day.
President Zardari reaffirmed in a statement his dedication to religious unity, respect for one another, and the defense of minority rights in the nation.
“Our founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, also envisioned a Pakistan where people of all religions could thrive as equal citizens, and [the] Constitution guarantees the fundamental rights of all citizens, irrespective of their faith,” he stated.
He went on to say that maintaining the rights of every person is crucial to promoting progress and national cohesion.
According to President Zardari, “we must invest in the education of our youth, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to lead Pakistan into a brighter future” in order to realize Quaid’s vision. Additionally, we must endeavor to improve the lot of marginalized groups in society.

The president declared, “Jinnah’s vision of a moderate and peaceful Pakistan requires us to foster harmony both inside and outside our borders.”
We commemorate the Father of the Nation’s accomplishments on this day, who used a political battle to alter the path of history. According to a news statement from the President’s Secretariat News Wing, “Quaid-i-Azam’s vision, determination, and unwavering resolve led to the creation of an independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.”
In addition, the president emphasized the significance of today’s Christmas celebration and urged “making sure that intolerance and discrimination are discouraged and everyone feels respected and safe in the community.”
Zardari acknowledged the Christian community’s contribution to Pakistan’s development, saying, “They have excelled in education, healthcare, community service, social welfare, and public service, and their contributions are a testament to our national diversity.
“He said, “Let us carry the spirit of Christmas throughout the year, working together to build a society rooted in peace, justice, and compassion.” PM Shehbaz promised to continue making sure that “people of all faiths can practice their beliefs freely and contribute to the collective progress of our nation,” according to Radio Pakistan.

The prime minister called for reflection on the profound message of peace, brotherhood, and love for all humanity as taught by Prophet Isa, who preached values of compassion, kindness, mercy, and wisdom. He also expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Christian brethren in Pakistan and around the world on Christmas and reaffirmed his commitment to protecting the rights of all religious communities and fostering an environment of mutual respect and understanding. The prime minister also acknowledged the invaluable contributions made by the Christian community to Pakistan’s stability and progress, particularly in the areas of nation-building, healthcare, and education.
During their visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Tessori gave fateha, laid floral wreaths, and wrote their thoughts in the visitor’s book.
