Hathras (UP): An official announced on Sunday that a college lecturer had been suspended following the filing of a formal complaint alleging that he had sexually exploited female students.
Circle Officer Yogendra Krishna Narain stated that on March 13, after receiving an anonymous complaint accusing him of sexually exploiting women, the police filed a formal case against professor Rajnish, who was in charge of the geography department at Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College, Hathras.
Sections 64(2) (rape), 68 (sexual contact by an individual in a position of power), and 75 (attack or criminal force against a woman with intent to affront her modesty) were the grounds upon which the FIR was filed.
According to Narain, a thorough investigation is underway, and the police are attempting to track down the anonymous complainant.
Following receipt of the FIR, the professor was suspended by Pradeep Kumar Bagla, secretary of Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College, Hathras.
According to the accused professor, he has been dealing with these accusations for the last 18 months, and multiple investigations have been conducted.
In her letter to the Women Commission and other high-ranking authorities last week, the complainant said that the professor engages in lewd behavior with women, then takes advantage of them and creates tapes of them.
The complainant said that while she had complained about this, nothing had been done about it.
“The Modi government supports ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,’ but even after that, these individuals continue to abuse their daughters,” Narendra said. In the letter, the complainant stated, “I am so troubled by this cruel person that sometimes I think of suicide.”
“Please save the students who are girls… Public embarrassment prevents any female student from speaking up. As a result, kindly take strong action against this monster and give countless ladies like me justice,” she continued.
According to the authorities, the complaint also supplied other pictures showing the professor engaging in lewd behavior.
