President Asif Ali Zardari has declared that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will become the country’s next young Prime Minister through the power of the people’s mandate.
According to Dawn News, during a meeting with a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) delegation led by Punjab Governor Saleem Haider, President Zardari emphasized the importance of unity during national crises. “All political parties, including the PPP, stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces during the Pakistan-India tensions. India was forced to retreat in the face of Pakistan’s resilience,” he said.
President Zardari reaffirmed his party’s commitment to democracy and national unity, stating, “If there is a Pakistan, there are political parties. The PPP has always sacrificed for the country and for democracy.”
He also asserted that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the PPP and former Foreign Minister, is set to lead the country in the future as a youthful Prime Minister chosen by the people. “Bilawal will be the next Prime Minister with a public mandate,” he stated confidently.
Zardari noted that the PPP is becoming increasingly active and organized in Punjab, signaling a strategic push in the politically critical province.
The president had arrived in Lahore a day earlier, where he attended the final match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 as the chief guest.
