For trying to settle in the UK with fake visas, a court has sentenced 25 students to prison time.
The students were held in judicial detention for 14 days after the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad denied the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) request to extend their physical remand.
Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal was shown the suspects. In an attempt to enter and settle in the UK, the students allegedly falsified their passports, according to the prosecution.
Defense attorneys requested bail for the accused at the hearing. All parties received letters from the court, which set the next hearing date for March 24 to hear arguments on the case.
