Eid-al-Adha is being celebrated across Pakistan with religious zeal and devotion, as people throughout the country are offering sacrifices of animals in commemoration of the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
The day began with Eid prayers held in thousands of spiritual gatherings across the nation, including major cities like Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar, as well as smaller towns and rural areas. Large congregations were organized at mosques, Eidgahs, Imambargahs, and open grounds.
During the Eid sermons, religious scholars highlighted the profound philosophy behind the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Prophet Ismail (AS). Special prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the progress, prosperity, and security of Pakistan.
Strict security arrangements were in place at Eidgahs and mosques to ensure the safety of worshippers.
