ISLAMABAD (APP): The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), has launched a new initiative to export qualified female nursing staff to Malaysia.
According to official sources, the recruitment process is underway and will be finalized based on specific job requirements across specialized medical fields including Coronary Care, Medical/Surgical Units, Intensive Care Units (ICU), Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Cardiac Units.
To be eligible, candidates must hold a Diploma in General Nursing along with a Post-Basic specialization. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands-on ICU (Cardiac) experience. The maximum age limit for female applicants is 45 years.
The OEC has outlined a list of mandatory documents that applicants must present on the day of the interview. These include:
- Updated resume (with color photograph) using the provided sample format
- A valid Gmail email address
- Certified true copies of general education certificates
- Nursing training certificates, diplomas, and degrees
- Registration certificate from local or foreign Nursing Council/Board
- Certified academic transcripts
- Current practicing license
- Birth certificate
- International passport (if available)
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
- Employer testimonial (if available)
- Five recent passport-size color photographs
- Three months’ salary slips (if available)
This initiative is expected to not only provide lucrative employment opportunities for Pakistani nurses but also strengthen the healthcare cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia. The move is seen as a step forward in enhancing the international mobility of Pakistan’s skilled healthcare workforce.
