SKARDU: Today (March 28), the nation observes Jummatul Wida, the final Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, with religious observance.
During Friday prayers, special prayers will be given for Pakistan’s development and prosperity as well as for Muslim unity.
In their Jumma sermons, the imams and religious scholars will emphasize the significance of Jummatul Wida and the month of fasting.
Jummatul Wida fell on the 27th of Ramadan this year, which is considered a lucky day for Muslims.
On the other hand, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal, Pakistan’s leading moon-sighting organization, is prepared for the Shawwal moon sighting on March 30, which signifies the start of Eidul Fitr.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will host the gathering, while each zone office will host its own meetings.
According to the most recent forecasts from Suparco and meteorologists, Eid-ul-Fitr is most likely to occur on Monday, March 31, 2025, and the Shawwal moon is anticipated to be visible on Sunday, March 30.
Eidul Fitr Namaz, a unique Islamic prayer, is said on the first day of Shawwal to commemorate the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.
