The emergency air ambulance service was successfully tested by the Saudi Red Crescent on a recently built helipad inside Makkah, Saudi Arabia’s Masjid Al Haram (Grand Mosque).
Enhancing emergency medical response capability is the goal of the new helipad.
This specialized helipad, which was constructed as part of the recently finished third Saudi extension of the holy mosque in Makkah, represents a significant breakthrough in the provision of prompt and efficient medical help to the millions of pilgrims who visit the site each year.

In order to facilitate air ambulance operations and guarantee prompt patient evacuation and transportation to neighboring hospitals, the contemporary helipad has been painstakingly developed.
This program is especially important during the busiest pilgrimage seasons, like Ramadan and Hajj, when the unprecedented number of pilgrims may put a severe strain on the medical system

The goal of this specialized air ambulance service is to reduce response times and offer individuals in need of immediate medical attention.
