
The most popular videos on YouTube have been honored with the release of the end-of-year list. The information presented gives a clear picture of Pakistan’s information consumption habits and video preferences.
The Top Trending Videos, Top Music Videos, and Top Creators categories make up this year’s ranking.
Dramas and action-packed movies topped the list of the most popular videos in Pakistan, where entertainment was king. The top three positions are occupied by captivating local dramas like Ishq Murshid, Jaan Nisar, and Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, reflecting Pakistan’s long-standing passion for gripping narrative.
Both local musicians and worldwide sensations are represented in the Top Music Videos category. Gippy Grewal and Jasmine Sandlas’s “Nabbe Nabbe,” Stree 2’s “Aaj Ki Raat,” and Ali Zafar and Atta Ullah Esakhelvi’s “Balo Batiyan” are this year’s top three songs.
Channels like Rajab’s Family, Anaya Eeshal Family, Arshad Reels, and Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad are included in the Top Creators list, which reflects the country’s rising interest in lifestyle, medical, and educational material.
The amount of videos submitted by Pakistanis on YouTube increased significantly this year as well. In 2024, local authors’ total hours of submitted material increased by 60%. Additionally, the number of Pakistani creators earning more than Rs 10 million a year from YouTube increased by 25%.
“The world is being captivated by Pakistani artists.” Google’s nation director for Pakistan, Farhan Qureshi, was quoted in a news release as saying, “These creators are demonstrating their ability to speak to a global audience, as over 65% of watch time on Pakistani content comes from viewers outside the country.”
