“You and I are not apart. The leader sent a message to the war-torn and resolute Lebanese people, saying, “We are with you and united with you.”
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that Iran shares the suffering and difficulties of the people of Lebanon.
In the spoken message, the Leader stated, “Your suffering is our suffering, your pain is our pain, and we are not separate from you.”
The announcement was made in response to a letter from Meytham Motiei, who has traveled to Lebanon to deliver aid that the Iranian people sent to the Arab nation.
Iran’s Supreme Leader shared a photo of himself meeting an Iranian envoy on Sunday amid rumors that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is in a coma.
According to some recent media reports, Khamenei, 85, was in a coma and had secretly met with his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, 55, to choose him as his successor. The New York Times reported in October that Khamenei was “seriously ill,” which prompted the reports.
Khamenei was seen in his office speaking with Iran’s envoy to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, in the photo posted on his X account.
“Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, met and talked with Mr Mojtaba Amani, the veteran ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, at noon today, on the sidelines of his daily meetings,” he said in Persian.
When pagers and walkie-talkies used by the Iran-backed Hezbollah organization exploded in Lebanon in September, Amani was one of around 3,000 people hurt. Iran and Hezbollah blamed Israel for the bombing, which also claimed the lives of at least 39 civilians.
According to an official statement, Amani gave him a report on his most recent health situation.

Following Iran’s launch of 180 missiles last month that targeted vital infrastructure in Israel, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered his first sermon in five years.
In his uncommon speech on October 5, he backed the Palestinian and Lebanese movements against Israel, saying that Israel “won’t last long”.
Khamenei defended Iranian missile strikes on Israel as a “public service” while speaking to tens of thousands of followers at a Tehran mosque.
